Watched this with my younger sister because she’s 15 and it’s basically a right of passage to have seen this, also Georgina is me

I might be biased putting this up to 5 but it’s much better on the second watch somehow, especially since the characters are so interesting so you get attached to them, especially Suzanne and Brewster, also sort of obsessed with the theme park they go to halfway through which is shut down now, the water ride looks so fun

genuinely very interesting although I felt some of the parts such as the tennis house debate and the people discussing building payments overstayed their welcome. The most interesting part was definitely the arguments between the park officials and the vendors at the peace event and it was interesting to see groups like the young communist league represented and the comments on political freedom in a area that’s meant to be the beacon of public democracy. The pride parade also despite being titled the lesbian and gay pride march there was serious lesbian erasure, not a single clip of their part of the march and they would have had their own sections which I found strange and a little too male centred for my taste which is common with representation of old pride events.
