Hamnet
more like a wound slowly opening in silence
what stayed with me most was how chloé zhao turned grief into atmosphere — every field, shadow, candlelight frame, and moment of silence felt heavy with loss
the film isn’t really about shakespeare’s genius; it’s about the people left behind by it, especially agnes
jessie buckley completely owned the film
am sorry "THE JESSIE BUCKLEY " her performance as agnes was raw, spiritual, angry, loving, and terrifyingly human all at once she barely needed dialogue — her face carried the emotional weight of the entire story the way she portrayed a mother collapsing internally while still trying to exist in the world was devastating without ever feeling theatrical
the cinematography felt painterly and intimate, almost dreamlike, while max richter’s score quietly destroyed me
paul mescal was restrained and excellent but the film clearly belongs to jessie she turns sorrow into something physical
for me, Hamnet wasn’t just a film about death — it was about the echo a person leaves behind, and jessie buckley made that echo unforgettable
I'll be brave father!
