WandaVision
The only thing that prevents me to love this more is that they wasted the opportunity to do something more regarding the multiverse. What was the point of Evan peters being cast as Pietro if by the end he was just a random guy. It was honestly so disappointing. I mean they could actually made him be the Peter Maximoff of Fox’s X-Men just by adding some additional lines. Also there was some unanswered questions. We never understand how Wanda got her magic powers. She got them before she was a hydra volunteer. So is that a mutant reference or what is the explanation in the mcu for her magic abilities? I hope they address this in the next doctor strange or Spider-Man movies.
Anyways, I loved this as a character focused story that deals with loss and grief. I honestly cried the last episode when Wanda lost everything she wanted once again. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bethany were SO good and Kathryn Hahn was such a joy to watch, I really hope to se her again. I also liked the new addition of Teyonah Parris. She has an amazing energy and fits so well with the rest of the universe. I feel WandaVision was a very different story to the others we’ve seen from the mcu but by the end it turned out pretty generic (the classic villains that are evil version of our heroes with Agatha and white vision). And that’s not bad per se. Marvel likes to play safe and most of the times it pays off. But I always want something more, a little bit more of flavor. I hope the next streaming projects bring more to the table.
