Silenced
this two hour film took me four hours to watch with the amount of breaks i needed to take between each brutally heart wrenching scene. the fact that this is based on a true incident made me the more furious and utterly disgusted at what those monsters did to those vulnerable children. i can’t even use the phrase “it’s just a film” to remind myself to calm down. it’s kind of sad how we as a society needs a dire situation to be viral or made into a film in order for it to be taken seriously. i really loved how they showed the “always beside citizens” as the woman was walking out of the police station, and the huge “justice, order and law” (or smth i dont rmbr) in the entrance of the court as to show the irony of those words when it comes to this case. overall, it was a very heavy and i find it really hard to watch without having to pause to take in the gruesome things that just happened. the casts, especially the children, did a fantastic job at acting.
