Parasite
just the title of this movie……. the definition of a thoughtful film. i love the pace and how it escalates so quick toward the end until the big finale. to me parasite is obviously referencing to the man who was living behind the wall, because he factually was, but it holds so much more sense when you realize that it’s more than anything the way the upper class, just like the Parks, perceive individuals from modest/poor classes. it’s not hidden that this movie is criticizing the class hypocrisy but damn, to witness this family being treated like tools and ending up so broken because they lied in order to get jobs they were perfectly qualified for ? that’s so unfair and you get why it pushed kim to the brim.
honestly, i go mad every time i remember that there is a movie that shows so perfectly how capitalism requires to step on the poorest in order to climb the social ladder, no matter your initial social class level. capitalism IS the ultimate parasite !!! AND PEOPLE STILL ! MISS ! THE ! POINT !!!!!
anyway it’s a very smart movie that you can watch so much times and still catch details because you now know the end, it’s so satisfying and it makes you go insane when you realize how many there are. so glad it got the recognition it deserved.
