It

IT is certainly not a great movie, hard to argue if it's even good, but I can't help but love it. I grew up constantly watching this movie on VHS, and I wish I could still capture the magic of watching it then. Parts of the movie are great, no doubt. Tim Curry's performance as Pennywise is 1000x more effective than Skarsgard's in my opinion. Outside of Curry, the acting is acceptable overall. There are many scenes that I feel are dragged down by the fact that it was made for TV, whether that be budget or censorship. Many of the effects don't hold up well at all and even the best of the effects are just "meh". I'd check this movie out if you are a fan of the IT story, but if you really want the IT story, just read the book. I feel that if this exact movie were made with a full budget and today's technology, it would be heaps better than the 2017 iteration. While I love this movie, I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way to see it.
