There is a lot of symbolism and parallelism constructed amidst this thrilling panic ride, and it is astounding. If that last scene didn’t make you realise what the movie actually intended to highlight and symbolise, I don’t know what will. The Safdie brothers might as well be the “neo-Coens” in my books with this one.
