Matilda
Growing up I watched this movie more times than I can count. I think it holds a special place because of the soundtrack and story. It feels rewarding when she finally has a home that respects her for her. And seeing every character get the treatment they deserve made the ending feel rewarding. As the parents and brother who treated her badly had to run from the cops and the principal who was cruel left in terror. While on the other hand Miss Sunny who Treated Matilda and others with respect and kindness got her house back and got Matilda as a kid. Which was heartwarming to watch. The movie also does a good job at keeping you engaged which makes the movie go by fast. I also like the narration from Danny Devito which doesn’t take away anything from the movie and it even engages me more. And the movie also has a good understanding on how to adapt the book. This movie has stuck with me over the years and that is why it’s one of my favorites.
