Loki
Honestly when Loki was first introduced in the MCU I didn’t care much for him, and when he appeared in the avengers I didn’t like him as a character and thought he was useless. But watching this show changed my whole perspective on him. I genuinely love when a person has a life changing character arc, and there’s no doubt Loki does. Seeing him go from this misunderstood, hopeless, sad prince who believes he has this “glorious purpose,” to becoming the person who holds the whole multiverse together really made me bond with his character. what kills me is that towards the end of the 2nd season he tells Sylvie the reason he wants to save the TVA and bring back everyone together is because he’s lonely, yet he ended up being lonely for eternity in order to hold the multiverse together. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over that. Throughout the series he faced his personal challenges and finally found comfort in those around him, (when he has never really felt loved by who he was surrounded with) , yet he had to leave that all behind because he realized who he needed to be, “For you, for all of us.”
I now have a full depth understanding of his character and I now realize he’s one of the top well written people in the whole MCU.
[ little yap talk: What’s funny is in the beginning of the first season Loki explains to Mobius how he is burdened with a glorious purpose and he must fulfill it, yet noticed how he used the word “burdened,” and not something like blessed, meaning it’s not something positive. this purpose that was bestowed upon him wasn’t something that he wanted to engage in in the first place, but he feels the need to act upon it because he believes it’ll give him validation as a person.]
