Resurrection
I never really bought into the idea that "art should be felt, not thought." I’ve always believed that a movie needs to be logical and make sense to be good. But after watching Resurrection, I think I finally get it.
At first, I struggled to see why people called this the best film of 2025. The narrative felt loose. I was left wondering about how the "immortality" concept actually worked or the specific stakes of the Deliriant being hunted by The Big Others. But hours later, the experience of watching it is still lingering. I’m not overthinking the plot anymore, I’m just still feeling the experience.
Calling it the "best movie of the year" might be a reach for me personally, but it is one of the best movie experiences I’ve ever had.
