Hi there! I’m Sil and i’m honestly quite new to consuming films/movies regularly, and analysing them more carefully (more interested in music). So this is kind of me ‘trying it out’ for a bit. Hopefully you enjoy my “reviews”, and please do give me some reccomendations! Thanks!

A quite well excecuted look into the demoralized and destructive youth of Thatcher-era Britain. Giving you a pretty good vibe of the time, and the kind of person it could make people into. I didnt really care for the so-called ‘story’ though; which I found a little underexplored. Though it makes sense considering the aim and budget for the movie. Overall: Worth your time if you relate in any way to the characters it portrays; otherwise not so much.

A well-done look into the effects of losing ones hearing. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Riz Ahmed plays his role quite convincingly, making for a very good performance. I however felt that by the end some major plot points, like his relationship with Lou, weren’t really concluded neatly. And that the arcs of Lou and Joe also weren’t fleshed out to satisfaction. I’d reccomend this movie for its message of ‘stilness’, which I find quite important.

Made me quite emotional “Wherever you’re going, you’re still going to be there” Is maybe my favorite movie quote oat. And thus this movie has a special place in my heart.
