Rewatch! This film still hits the same after rewatching it. It just captures the devastation of addiction so well. It’s so beautiful and heart-wrenching. I also liked how it kept switching back and forth to the POV of both the father and son. Not many films and other media show the perspective of the parents as well, it shows how drug addiction can heavily affect not only the person that’s addicted but also the family. Even the ending of the film is cautiously hopeful, because who knows if this will ever end? Overall I think it’s and interesting and important film that showed a different side of addiction from what I seen before. I desperately need to read the book now, let’s see if my library has it🥲

Wow just wow… I don’t even know what to say, I’m speechless. I’m literally at the cinema right now as I’m typing this. I just couldn’t wait until I got home. It was so captivating and didn’t even feel like a 3 hour movie at all. Literally one of the greatest cinematic experiences of my life I’m speechless.
