WTF, how did I go this long without watching The Thing?
@logan781 I get it now. This movie is pure paranoia. John Carpenter keeps you on edge the entire time, you never know who the villain is, and even the ending leaves you questioning everything. That uncertainty makes it hit even harder.
It’s not just scary, it’s psychological. Watching trust completely fall apart is wild, and the practical effects still go crazy. Gave me strong The Shining vibes with that slow-burn, trapped-with-evil atmosphere.
No cheap jumps. Just nonstop tension.
Easy 10/10. Classic.
