so many things to appreciate about this movie but i was immediately starstruck by the cinematography LIKE THIS FEELS LIKE AN ACTUAL DREAM and i think i love that mostly, how the insanely magical shots in space is a stark contrast to the doom that is shown on earth and experienced by dr grace. genuinely got me to understand the gravity of the story and though maybe there are more parts of it that i’d like to know more, i think that’s the point. as someone that has not read the original book, i truly appreciate a 2 hour version of the story because THIS SHIT WAS BREATHTAKING and i cried like 7 times genuinely. just reels you in to have no choice but be present with the story, adventure and overall experience. again this shit was breath taking.

stellar performances from the cast and i thoroughly enjoy this approach to the horror genre because i’d be terrified too if i was the kid
