It's very smooth and kinda felt like there is a slow-burning effect when watching the three-part anthology. Eroticness, being used carefully and portrayed without any ideal factor in it. If one kills a cop, will the cops stop and go away? If a cop kills an innocent civilian, will justice be served? This is still relevant and to France, it is alarming knowing about the situation.

With everything falling apart in the beginning, Jin-tae is maybe the best character here. Given the experience during his military service, he thinks like a killer, which every cop would disregard because a killer can be creative in many different ways. And with Jin-tae's help, the mother made progress in which the truth was about to be revealed. Something about the scenes that made it look suspenseful is by digging into that scene and showing the extended point of view from potential criminals, like the men who used to do things with Ahn-jung. This clearly shows that a normal person, like the mother, with skills can neither be a potentially good or bad person.

The film, perhaps, captures the life of the author, who is Mr. Chow. And apart from being a journalist and a writer, he uses the inspiration around him including the past women he had relationships with. 2046 is not your typical story inside a story but something tells me that there is a gap that has not yet happened with all these characters, it is more than just finding the purpose of what every individual wants or seek. A single action may easily forget the past, and that is what should be done.
