Obviously it’s good and epic but it’s also missing a lot of key scenes that easily could have replaced some of the unnecessary exposition. No “Nobody” scene? fr? How are you not gonna at least have some sort of dialogue with Polyphemus? And the Circe sequence was cool but the actual interesting part of that arc is the romance that comes after.. And where tf are Odysseus’ parents? Especially in the Hades sequence. I could go on, but ig my point is that these omissions heavily bastardize Odysseus’ character, making him kind of a weak protagonist whereas in the poem he is one of the coolest most complicated mfs ever written. spectacle should not be a replacement for characterization
