Dune: Part Two
So I had multiple thoughts obviously...
and I have read all the books...
To start of movie is absolutely stunning, mesmerizing and sound design hits you as well.
It started almost comedic. Freeman mocking Paul as they should and all that worm unit. Scenes with fetus growing were kinda eerie Tho.Big fan of developing Chani and Paul romance.
That moment with water of life and Lady Jessica oh man... All that frenzy, psychodelia and weird fanaticism started. Speaking of ladies I thought Irulan role was way bigger, however big fan of performance as well. Zendaya absolutely devoured as Chani. She was both a warrior and a moral compass and her own woman on top of that. Oscar's campaign starts now.
Harkonnen are absolutely insane. Their world is just straight up cruel and liveless. Like one kind of psycho put his son on the arena as his birthday party umm. The forehead touches and kisses were nice surprise. Feyd-Rautha ate his few minutes of screentime. Every moment was enigmatic and chilling and yet somehow you could tell he loved his um pets. So much kinks and love for blades (positive). Austin you will get that Oscar's campaign as well. Rabanne was just screaming mostly but still delightful to see guy lose.
Moving on to Paul sheesh were to start. The transformation from boy to saviour (derogatory) is amazing. After water of life happend it all came together. All that scenes with prophecies and people pulling knifes (just in time for ideas of march) just..even more chills.
The final battle was such a cinematic event. Just wow! The final scene was both terrifying and devastating in the same time phew.
Gosh what an experience!
Other things: I could swore that Anna Taylor-Joy spoke at begging, I could pint point which shots reminded me of "2001: space Odyssey" and "apocalypse now", the shaking cinema theater during the worms is just the best
