Babylon
What a picture
Convinced my buddies who usually only go to watch marvel flicks with me to watch it and they mostly loved it, which I didn’t expect. There were also two ladies behind us that wouldn’t stfu, explain to each other what happened in the film and talk on the phone until they just sorta left the theater. I honestly admire the genuine want to innovate and create something that means something but that also asks if it even should, in a world where entertainment feels so meaningless sometimes. I really love how loud silent movies era Hollywood is and how mostly quiet talkies era Hollywood is. It also kinda feels like the last movie ever, taking a look back on a very transformative age of film where the art of film was not very respected and connecting it to today where the art in film seems to be endangered. I honestly don’t know if a film like this will ever get made again…
