okay this movie felt like a warm hug at first, but then it hit a little too close to home for me……….. definitely a beautiful, nostalgic, and cringe-worthy watch though. i believe sean wang really nailed the particularities of being a teen in the late 2000s here <3 and it also made for really good representation of immigrant asian families in western countries. p.s the paramore references were everything !!!! and didi’s mum deserves the whole world !!!
