Omar Sharif's big wet beautiful brown puppy dog eyes, that's all that needs to be said!! I didn't like this film too much the first time I watched it, but watching it with my prof for my Russian Politics course really elevated the experience, because I felt like I was witnessing everything I had just spent weeks learning about. It felt so much more full!(still think Lawrence of Arabia is by far the superior David Lean film though hehe)

A film that no one should *want* to watch, but rather, one that everyone *needs* to watch. Made me sob so hard that I smoked four cigarettes afterwards. They put you in the shoes of the Red Crescent members so efficiently. I obviously know the outcome yet I still felt hope, only for it to be crushed yet again. She was so young, no one young or old, but especially a child who just graduated preschool, should ever have to face this situation.

Obviously I know the whole plot of the film only can happen because of the son's choices but my god, for almost the entire movie I was absolutely fuming like, fuck this bitch ass ungrateful disrespectful absolute piece of shit child!!!!!!! Was raised by his lovely parents for over twenty years and has the absolute gall to just be like, hey can you erase every aspect about yourself? I thought it was so particularly disrespectful for him to pick a woman he had never even met to call mom, when Albert has been there for him this entire time :/

I feel maternal towards TARS and his humor setting(MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY IS SO HOT) Though truly, Coop and TARS dynamic is one of my favorite parts of the movie every single time, they have such good banter, and it makes me soft that Cooper got to keep at least one "person" with him throughout it all. Enemies to friends :,) "Slick" "Coop" Why am I crying over the friendship of a human and a big rectangular robot right now? Also I watched this with my friend, and to me, even on like the 5th or 6th rewatch, it makes me sob every time. And he was like "I don't think its particularly sad, its got a happy ending." Huhhhh??????? Sir, he missed out of his family's whole life :( that's the whole point of the "Don't let me leave!" scene. Its bittersweet since its his love for his daughter that allows him to reach out in the first place, yet the same love will always leave such painful feelings in his heart because he missed out on her entire life SOB
