But now we must slip our bonds and shift to the higher structure." for a science-fiction cyberpunk film, the soundtrack choice is so provocative. it sounds like an ancient ritual. it feels like we are diving into the deepest depths of our collective consciousness. the story takes place in a cold dystopian world, but its themes resonate on a spiritual level, with grave philosophical quandaries lurking around every corner. it is mechanical and digital but also metaphysical and psychedelic. an exploration of epistemology and religion in true breathtaking fashion. the sci-fi elements are so well executed and its influence can be seen everywhere, but it is merely a tool to study the nature of consciousness and reality itself.
