The Throne
Had to climb up a mountain so I could write this up, sun's beaming down on me.
Another generational scar added🤧. Watching King Yeongjo and Crown Prince Sado is like watching two planets collide, the father’s obsession with perfectionism vs. the son’s desperate need to just live a fair life. The tragedy isn’t just the rice chest, it’s the decades of them just not being enough that it led to it. The Throne shows us how a parent and child relationship could turn to shit just cause of a lack of communication (a serious sit down)
After all that turmoil, all that screaming and all that blood, my only hope is that in the afterlife they made peace, no crowns, no politics, no expectations. they sat together talking for eternity, finally making up in the peace they couldn't find on earth.
It makes me look at my own future when I have a son or daughter, I’m making a pact right now: I will never be the wall they have to break themselves against, i will hear them out, i will never hate on my own kids, discourage their spirit, doing all that extra shit, Kids need both parents.
THAT ENDING WITH THE DANCE🙌🏿
