Gladiator
“My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.”
holy cinema.
Russel Crowe plays Maximus so well and delivers amazing monologues in this film. Joaquin Phoenix is a perfect antagonist in “Gladiator” and he’s ruthless and gruesome with his punishments, in seek of power.
I am excited for Gladiator 2 next month and Lucius being Maximus son is peak 😭
