feel like i’m going insane because this actually seemed pretty decent up until the final act where it just shifts completely and just starts downplaying rape and starts glorifying comphet?? it’s so damn strange. otherwise though it was a genuinely interesting engagement with gender roles and surprisingly wasn’t at all transphobic (the word transvestite was only used once!) and it feels really ahead of its time even if some of the ideas are backwards nowadays.
