Before Midnight
i really love the before trilogy
there’s something about watching two people grow up together over time that just sticks with you before midnight especially bc it’s not soft or romantic in the same way the first two are but that’s kind of the point
it shows what happens after the falling in love part
the real stuff, the arguments, the resentment
it felt so real n i think that’s why it hit me because not everything has to be perfect to be worth holding on to and watching them try even when it’s messy felt honest in a way most movies never are
lowkey ready for before the silent treatment ends
where they just walk all night not speaking and it’s still iconic
but anyway i really enjoyed watching this trilogy
