i loved everything about this movie. it’s weird and uncomfortable in the best way. lee needing structure and edward needing control sounds unhealthy but together it somehow becomes this strange kind of balance. every scene feels like watching two people slowly figure out how to exist in a world that doesn’t understand them. when he tells her to never cut again it’s not cruel it’s the first time he actually lets tenderness slip through the cracks. that’s what i loved most how every act of control or submission slowly turns into care. a love story for people who don’t know how to love softly. it’s messy and unsettling but soft. they’re broken in the same way and that’s what makes it beautiful.
