Obi-Wan Kenobi
I expected a meh story with a couple of cool fights. I am pleasantly surprised and impressed with Disney.
It started out slow, but it needed to in order to fully capture the fact that Obi-Wan truly could do nothing but trudge through everyday life. At first, I thought Reva was a bit much and almost as though Disney was pushing a new villain on us, but in the end, I liked and appreciated her character and arc a lot. It was one of the more enjoyable aspects of the show, finding out about her backstory and ultimately when she makes the right decision.
Another thing I really liked was Kenobi's relationship with Leia beginning and blossoming. I disliked her at first, she seemed like a brat. But she grew on me and Obi-Wan and set up the groundwork for A New Hope where she calls for his aid in a time of need.
Darth Vader. Hell yeah. The way they did the last episode's fight was unbelievable. One of my favorite Star Wars scenes from anything they've created. I don't know if I have the words to fully capture how amazing that part was.
All-in-all I enjoyed it a lot. Was it perfect? Absolutely not, but anything I could say to criticize it is very nit-picky. It was very well done and translated to a short series very well, though I probably would have preferred a 3-hour movie.
