why did this movie take a really unexpected turn. i am beyond shocked and speechless with what the actual fuck just happened. oh my god.
all i can say is… jerome and vincent had more chemistry than vincent and irene — i’m sorry. this movie had an amazing world crafted and the story building behind it? exquisite. some elements here and there were quite illogical taking into account that this movie takes place in the distant future (esp with the technology). i’ll put it aside, no need to scrutinize all’at considering the year this was made. 1997? sheesh, they were ahead of their time.
this was actually sooo gay and straight at the same time? the doctor checking out ethan hawke, the whole vincent and uma thing, plus the bond of the two jeromes. this was quite an experience. i legitimately shed a tear at the end. this was too much and soo many events were unfolding at the same time — i was overwhelmed. the message this left really struck me. i guess this movie talks about and brings to limelight how one can defy gravity. just kidding. how one could defy society’s standards forced unto them unfairly. the whole genetic shenanigans were terrifyingly unjust and, as i said, unfair.
this was really an interesting watch. i understand now why those two lovebirds took the relationship to our reality. sad that they divorced, they could’ve been such a power couple (which, actually, they were).
