Nosferatu
“Does evil come from within us or beyond?”
— Ellen Hutter, 1830-ish
this movie’s fucking amazing. i love how horror it is. i don’t know how to explain it but you feel the fear and dread the characters were experiencing as if you’re with them. the fear thomas had felt when he first had that interaction with count orlok was invigorating. totally breathtaking.
it’s scary in a way that you get surprised by the sounds and scares, of course. even so, i couldn’t help but watch what’s happening without even looking away. there were times that i knew something was coming, but my eyes were locked in and my mouth was agape. the plot, the story, the whole thing was soooo interesting. i was eager to watch what was going to happen next. the suspense before count orlok was properly introduced to the story was top-notch edging — jesus.
that intro? but you know what? every scene that included lily-rose depp and nicholas hoult were eye candy and oscar-worthy. the way they acted and performed was so authentic. they DID NOT care about their image at all. the faces, the noises, the actions they made were disturbingly uncanny but mesmerizing nonetheless. everything that was shown felt intact and necessary. it was like watching dominoes falling into place after they’d been tipped over. magnificent performance and a wonderfully well done horror movie.
i am not going to babble any further but lily-rose depp, nicholas hoult, bill skarsgård, willem dafoe, emma corrin, aaron taylor-johnson, and all the other actors and actresses who made this movie possible — you all deserve your flowers. why am i talking like i am this movie’s director or something? hahahahahaha
love the cinematography, love the editing, love the production, and i especially love how ugly count orlok was. bill skarsgård, the beautiful man you are. why do you keep transforming yourself into these monsters? keep it up! give us more if it means we get to watch historical pieces like this.
AH. almost forgot!
they infact didn’t bounce on it :(( — perhaps they were just crazy in style.
