Hard Eight

Unbelievably sharp sensibility for a first time filmmaker. This sensibility can cut glass yo. You gotta be careful or you’ll lose a finger. Sharper than Reservoir Dogs and QT got his feet wet on the True Romance set anyway. Staggering. This movie rules. The beautiful and talented Gwyneth Paltrow at her most beautiful and talented. Insecurity and human relationships. Hard to put into words how great it is. HARD to put into words how EIGHT it is. Superb score. Lotta talking — and the dialogue rules. Great cast, how’d he get it for his first movie? That’s worth a google. 92
