The Last Showgirl did the Total Eclipse of the Heart needle drop better tbh

i haven’t rewatched this in over a decade…and i wish i kept it that way. but katherine isabelle is as good as i remembered!

when i watched this first time, i didn’t understand how this was getting such rave reviews. and rewatching it, i still don’t. it’s an ugly movie. the color is diarrhea. it wants to appeal to everybody but chickens out in saying anything real about ~anything~. and the cherry on top: it’s predictable and humorless. samara weaving is wonderful, but a final girl who says profanity-riddled quips for 90 minutes does not a final girl make. andie macdowell innocent tho.
