Perfect Blue

4k Remaster    Why must I live in the evil timeline where Satoshi Kon only lived to make 4 movies? RIP goat and FUCK cancer.  This might be the greatest debut of all time? It’s aged so beautifully in it’s visuals, but almost horrifyingly in it’s themes, all the more prevalent in today’s advent of parasocialism. There’s a lot of Me-mania’s out there.  That to say, Kon was an absolute visionary, and I think this is a film that everyone should see.
