Loki
We are currently 50% into season 1 of Loki, which means it’s an appropriate time to do a half-way point review on the series so far!
At the moment, Loki is shaping out to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most intriguing, suspenseful and diverse production yet. From a slightly slow start we get so many answers we wanted and yet there are still so many questions set-up to be answered in the final 3 episodes.
Highlights include performances from Owen Wilson as Mobius, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie and of course Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief. Not to forget the confirmation of Loki’s genderfluid and bisexual identities which has please many queer MCU fans, like myself, and introduced many more queer people to the MCU.
It’s so great to see the biggest entertainment franchise to acknowledge and center focus on queer characters instead of pushing them to the side or completely using it for the sake of it.
I am highly excited to see the rest of Loki and I hope it pays off and does shape Phase 4 and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as promised from Hiddleston himself.
