Superman

#thegunnwasactuallyafuckingnuke #realkissinginmoviesareback I LOVE SUPERHERO FILMS OH MY GODDDDDDDD this was just… absolutely amazing. james gunn, you are a superhero genius. firstly, the cinematography was absolutely stunning. flying shots always left me in awe. color palate is just insane.  amazing adaptation of the ray of hope himself, superman. seeing him do simple acts of good out of the own goodness of his heart is just the simple definition of what superman is. a beacon of hope, a reason to believe. a person to believe in. superman in this film truly cares about every species, every thing, everyone. it’s so insanely refreshing to watch.  comedic moments were amazing, rare moments where it felt forced.  all side characters are pretty great, loved mr. terrifics involvement in the plot, i want to see more of him in the dcu if possible.  the score, absolutely fucking phenomenal. i am in love with this score, and i think it’ll end up being better than f4’s score overall. everything about this film is something to talk about. the relationship between lois and clark, clark’s relationship to both is biological and foster parents, and the relationship that clark has to the people of metropolis.  that is one of my absolute favorite things about this film. it is so obvious and again, refreshing to see so much empathy, so much care, so much hope on the big screen. i want to rewatch it very very soon. shoutout to james gunn, first and foremost for creating such an absolute masterpiece of superhero media, and david corenswet for portraying such a beloved character in all the right ways to make sure that people feel the hope that superman naturally brings to people.  i walked out of that theater feeling that same hope.
