And Then There Were None
Alright so this is epic. There are so many things I would like to say about this miniseries so the review may be quite long.
1. When I was in the 7th grade I read Agatha's book and it absolutely terrified me. It was so interesting that I finished reading it in a single day. I also guessed the plot and realized who the murderer was halfway through, which made my reading experience even more terrifying. After finishing it, I couldn't sleep for several nights without checking my wardrobe (you may guess why). Watching this made me feel like a 13 year old myself again, yet this time I don't think I'll be scared of my wardrobe.
2. The cinematography is just beautiful. Every single shot is a masterpiece. It is the simplicity that makes it creepier. For instance the shots of the house on the island (where we see that this huge building is the only house on that island) or the gramophone scene. These simple, soulless scenes are so subconsciously scary.
3. Charles Dance is one of the greatest actors ever. The irony is that after reading the book in the 7th grade, I wanted to watch the series but after searching the cast I saw that the actor of Wargrave looked absolutely creepy and terrifying. Little did I know , that this "creepy" actor would play one of my favorite character in Game of Thrones aka Tywin Lannister.
4. Aidan Turner is a brilliant actor. At first he looked so familiar and then I realized it on the second episode that he is THE Killi in my favorite franchise (Lotr/The Hobbit). Adore Philip Lombard with my whole heart. Such a complex character. And Aidan is a mesmerizing person in general and especially fit for this role.
5. Everyone should read the book first because this adaptation will seem even more amazing after reading the original version.
6. Whatever happens DO NOT visit a private island
