A Bronx Tale
A Bronx Tale tells the central question of whether it is better to be loved or feared through C's upbringing. Lorenzo, his father, embodies being loved in my opinion, as he earns respect through honesty and hard work. Sonny, on the other hand, personifies fear, as he wields power and influence on the streets. Growing up under both men's guidance, C is naturally drawn to each of their qualities, shaping his understanding of respect and eventually forcing him to choose the type of man he wants to be.
