Fallen Angels

I think I’ve finally discovered my taste in Hong Kong cinema. The shots, atmosphere, lighting, and characters all blend together seamlessly. I love the concept of the movie splitting into two separate stories while I've encountered other films that use this structure, this particular movie executes it better in every aspect. I'm glad I watched Chungking Express (the loose sequel) first, as it helped me catch all the references and enhanced my overall experience. This film definitely deserves a rewatch. I look forward to writing a new review later to catch any details I might have missed and as a way to show my appreciation for what is now my #1 Hong Kong film at the moment.
