Our Beloved Summer
Late to the hype, but I’m really glad I finally got around to watching it. The film beautifully shows that love has a way of finding its path back to you when the timing is right. It does an amazing job balancing drama, comedy, and heartbreak, making it such a comforting watch overall.
One of my favorite scenes is at the end, when Ung and Yeonsu are together in the library and he draws a portrait of her. What makes it so touching is that Ung is known for avoiding drawing people, believing that humans are always changing and eventually fade away. But with Yeonsu, it’s different her essence, her personality, has always remained the same to him, which makes that moment feel especially meaningful and emotional.
