This movie was not fantastic by any stretch but it had a decent story and some good performances. There were also a few great moments of cinematography in it. The story was fine, albeit fairly simple, but I had a lot of fun with it.

The story was fairly simple, which isn’t necessarily bad. The performances were good. The cinematography was actually quite a big standout in many places. It wasn’t perfect and the characters really react in odd ways to some of what happens but it was enjoyable and creepy.

The movie was very good. People who felt that there was “no plot” are the type of people who need to feel everything is explained at the end of movies. There are a few things I felt a bit confused on but I felt like that’s kind of the point. Even the mysterious agency doesn’t know what the hell it is. The one thing I feel the movie didn’t show very well is exactly how much time passes between the scenes in the movie. I don’t need to know exactly how much time passes or annything like that, but I didn’t realize until very late in the movie that a much more significant amount of time has passed than I thought. The acting was top notch. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve were both fantastic, and the rest of the cast as well. Kane Parsons directed the hell out of that movie, capturing the feeling of his YouTube series while telling a new story. I enjoyed it immensely.

A fantastic sci-fi/adventure movie that is easily an instant classic. The performances by Gosling, Hüller, Ortiz, and the rest of the cast. The chemistry between Grace and Rocky is amazing and the dialogue feels natural and well written. The cinematography is amazing and the reliance on practical effects as a base to be enhanced by CGI is masterful, creating a more tangible feeling world than many other movies can achieve. Lord and Miller are fantastic writers and directors and I’m happy to see them continue to get work.
