La Bamba

First movie I shed a tear watching in a longgg time, the story telling was amazing and the little love story was also super sweet. I didn’t just enjoy the movie itself, I enjoyed knowing the history of how he impacted such an important culture in history, I didn’t really know a lot about him and didn’t know why he was so important. Ritchie Valens was the first Mexican American rock and roll star to achieve national fame and popularity, and his impact to the Latin music community inspired hit artist such as Carlos Santana, Selena, and also los Lobos. This movie has to be one of my favorite biopic films of all time and I recommend watching it and learning the impact that he made to the Chicano culture.
