I didn’t know what to expect from this movie . That aside what a great movie David jonsson is fuckin great , he is the future. Tom Blyth is also exceptional. The performances and the way this movie are shot really put you in the environment it’s uncomfortable and very claustrophobic. The violence just feels so real , nothing is dressed up it’s just raw in your face . It’s really engages you and has you on the edge of your seat with so much uncertainty of what is going to happen. Looking at tom blyth you wouldn’t think he could come off as crazy as he does in this movie but he really does. Definitely my favorite performance in the movie .

First time watch I respect them waiting and saving majority of the action for the climax , it just made it hit so much harder in my opinion . For the first 50 minutes of the movie it pure set up and an actual story not the most complex story but i think they executed it pretty well. Then the climax , i always feel action works better when it has a reason to be there. This movie gives you that feeling , you want to see Detective Ma (yen) get that justice by any means necessary. Donnie yen gives a good enough performance to where you feel his character cares and is just trying to do the right thing. So when his moment to shine comes it’s so satisfying.

First time watch This is seriously one of my favorite movies now , it’s wild to me majority of the movie is just moving from one location to another just to have another conversation. This shouldn’t work but it just does, every character feels real like you’ve met someone like one of these guys before or you know one of these guys. Absolutely hilarious and devastating at the same time . I wish Jon favreau still had this much passion for his craft . “Your so money baby “ Vince Vaughn just crushes every scene he is in , he’s either very hilarious, annoying or charming. You can tell his heart is in the right place he just wants his friend to feel better , he just has his own crazy way of trying to help.

This movie just works for me , although it isn’t as good as “swingers” it still finds a way to shine in its own way.
