I Am Cuba
“i am cuba. your hands have gotten used to farming tools. but now a rifle is in your hands. you are not shooting to kill. you are firing at the past. you are firing to protect your future.”
the cinematography is incredible, some of the best i’ve ever seen. the camera moves in ways that make you question how they even pulled it off, with long takes that feel like they’re just floating. it feels more like a poetic film than just propaganda, and it’s way ahead of its time, almost like the camera has a life of its own. by the end it completely pulls you in and makes you want to join the revolution. a masterpiece. viva la revolución
