Solaris
one of the best sci-fi films i’ve seen, but not for the usual reasons. it’s not really about the effects, it’s about the questions it asks and how it explores what makes someone human. super atmospheric, kind of haunting and melancholic, but also really beautiful. it stayed with me more than most films do. its take on memory, loss, and the idea of seeing someone you’ve lost again feels really personal and lingers. tarkovsky handles it in such a poetic way. definitely one i’ll keep coming back to
