Videodrome

this is cronenberg going all in and it’s insane in the best way. super weird and uncomfortable, but it works. i really liked how it plays with media and obsession, especially how people can get brainwashed by what they watch and how everything on a screen starts to feel more real than actual life. it feels way ahead of its time and still weirdly relevant now. the body horror is crazy too, some of the imagery is just stuck in my head. it’s more fascinating than anything. cronenberg is the king of body horror, no one does it like him. i loved this one. easily a new personal favorite. long live the new flesh
