Buffalo '66
went into this movie knowing nothing about it except for having seen a short clip of them in the photo booth. i didn’t expect it to be as interesting as it was. slow moving and calm for the most part, with most of the action at the end (if you can call imagination that). for being such a weirdo, i feel like sprinkling in billy’s backstory the way they did really humanized him.
the scene where he is leaving the motel room almost had me second guessing if he really was going to shoot up the strip club, but when he turned to leave, i was convinced he was. seeing it happen and then it being in his head really got me. i liked the way that scene was shot especially, the slow dolly worked great imo.
i feel like this movie didn’t take itself too seriously and that’s what makes it great. it was wildly hilarious at times and somehow still incredibly depressing and i loved every minute of it. makes me want a hot chocolate.
also love leila/wendy’s blue eyeshadow i am a big blue eyeshadow fan and it looked lovely on her!
