repetition with no change is emphasis and repetition with change is contrast. this movie displays both, showing the decay of an intimate friendship due to societal standards. to me this movie shows me the raw, quiet guilt and regret of people that think that they are the cause of tragic incidents. no explosion, no screaming, just quiet weeping and silence. but eventually, you sprout again, as a new person, forever changed.
