Scarface
some of the nicest set designs I’ve ever seen in a movie - De Palma captures the luxurious Vice City aesthetic flawlessly with the use of neon and pastel tones, tropical backdrops, and immersive nightlife scenes. It’s so easy to get lost in Giorgio Moroder’s score: a pulsing blend of synth-driven ’80s electronic music and dramatic orchestration. Maybe it’s a basic take, but Al Pacino gives one of my favourite performances of all time. I need to rewatch Blow Out soon - these two are very close. Mid 9/10.
