Shutter Island
this is definitely one of those films that you appreciate even more on a rewatch, as you start to notice the subtle clues and clever foreshadowing woven throughout. The psychological tension is masterfully crafted, with a deeply convincing performance from DiCaprio and a brilliantly constructed narrative. The cinematography is stunning - bleak and claustrophobic, with stormy skies and shadowy corridors that amplify the sense of dread. The eerie classical score is another standout element. I also love how the film explores profound themes like guilt, repression, and the fragility of reality.Low 9/10.
