Sinners
There's A LOT to unpack (temporary review will edit later)
Watching this aligned perfectly with me, currently watching the series Interview with the Vampire (2022). Vampireism is a complex and interesting concept. Once they settle for blood, they crave and roar for more, hence get as greedy as turning their loved ones into canine bearing mythic humanoids.
All the kkk and racist whites dying, especially since it was set in 1930s Mississippi. I love that they deserve to die after fkn lynching, burning, and torturing black people, if the black people want segregation from them, then periodt, and yet they were polite about it.
very eye opening movie yeah, it reminded me a lot of the teachings from my religion and there's this specific quote in the movie that goes: "you keep dancing with the devil, one day he's gonna follow you home." and holy shi remmick recited with him
Specific scenes ignited the idea of them all being sinners and I'm here for it, it truly reminds me of the concept of jinns being among us but we cant always identify them a part, correlated to the crossroads robert johnson
I do wonder where that remmick dude comes from originally and have looked into it a bit, due to his clothing it could be the colonial era and is some type of immortal spiritual parasite leading the others astray
I'm crine me and my bsfs hiding away and looking at each other during the boombayah scenes was so funny also lowk thought he might actually have a real twin, no way ppl spread a fake sinners timeline
it's a good movie in itself, but from a horror aspect, it wasn't scary at all although some real hoodoo might've been involved
