The Fly

david cronenberg is single-handedly making me turn into a horror fan because this is an absolute masterpiece in every way. this is so disgusting and creative that it makes u wanna look away so often but u can’t because of how good it looks.  though this is less weird as his other stuff and it’s clear that this was made for the mainstream general audience it still does such a good job to keep up with his other films. not only does it do so well in horror it manages to be such a good love story between the two main characters and having amazing character development in such a short runtime where it isn’t even the main focus. so glad i didn’t hold off from watching the rest of his film catalog after being weirded out by the naked lunch
